The unit standards have been republished to clarify the purpose of the unit standards, as being for ākonga/learners with learning and intellectual disabilities, who require support with their learning either through additional resources, specialised equipment or adapted teaching programmes.

The unit standards may contribute to programmes leading to the New Zealand Certificate in Skills for Living for Supported Learners (Level 1) [Ref: 2853]. 

Main changes

· Guidance Information now states that the Supported Learning standards are not expected to contribute to the National Certificate of Educational Achievement (Level 1) [Ref: 0928] (NCEA).
