Summary

Following feedback from stakeholders a minor revision to unit standard 6400 was required. Changes have been made to the formatting to make it clear what is required to be assessed for the range statement for outcome 1, performance criteria 1.2.

Burns are an option in the range and not compulsory in the range.

Main changes

Range PC 1.2 has been updated to the following:

assess two major injuries from this range:

chemical burns, electrical burns, gunshot, impalement, stabbing, crush injuries, amputations, head injuries, suspected spinal injuries, internal injuries;

assess one medical condition from this range:

severe allergic reaction, cold emergency, heat emergency.
