Summary

Toitū te Waiora Community, Health, Education, and Social Services Workforce Development Council consulted with FASD-CAN Inc. Aotearoa (Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder Care Action Network) to develop two skill standards that would help support best practice for those who are working alongside and engaging with people with FASD in our communities.  These skill standards have been designed to be used for assessment within programmes leading to qualifications across various sectors including Social and Community Services, Community Health work and Disability Support.

Wider consultation on both the new skill standards was provided through the Toitū te Waiora website.  FASD-Can Inc. Aotearoa supports the development of the new skill standards.
