Summary of review process |
The Ministry of Education has republished the NCEA qualifications. NCEA (Level 1) This qualification was republished to exclude the Supported Learning unit standards from being used to contribute to the credits required for the award this qualification. The exclusion applies to all standards in the Community and Work Skills - Supported Learning - Personal, Community and Work Skills Domain, currently 29299-29310, 32927 and 32929. This change will apply from the 2025 Academic year. It is expected to strengthen the validity of the NCEA qualification. NCEA (Level 2 and 3) The Minister of Education has extended the timeframe for the transitional arrangements regarding the NCEA co-requisite from 2025 to 2027 to allow the sector more time to adjust to the new requirements in support of an NCEA qualification at any Level. |
