Summary of review and consultation process |
Hanga-Aro-Rau Manufacturing, Engineering and Logistics Workforce Development Council (H-A-R) commenced the review in October 2023 of the New Zealand Certificate in Meat and Meat Product Manufacturing (Level 3) listed above. The review was to ensure the qualification continued to be fit-for-purpose for the meat and meat product manufacturing industry and make necessary changes where required. Industry, Providers, and subject matter experts provided the feedback and input required for this review. All changes were also emailed to the wider stakeholder group for feedback and input into the proposed changes in the event they were unable to attend the regular meetings. Industry consultation survey A survey was conducted via the Hanga-Aro-Rau website with a link provided to industry associations seeking feedback from their members and customer base on the proposed changes to the meat and meat product manufacturing qualifications listed above. Overall, those that responded were in agreement with the proposed changes. |

New Zealand Certificate in Meat and Meat Product Manufacturing (Level 3) The strategic purpose statement, education pathway, and employment, cultural and community pathway were all reviewed to ensure they were fit for purpose and updated where required. - Graduate profile outcome 1 - minor wording change - Graduate profile outcome 2 - change from ‘meat or meat product manufacturing’ to ‘primary industry’ Qualification specifications and transition information have been updated in the qualification to reflect the change in standard setting body to Hanga-Aro-Rau Manufacturing, Engineering, and Logistics Workforce Development Council. General conditions information now includes the programme endorsement process. |
