Waihanga Ara Rau Construction and Infrastructure Workforce Development Council has completed the revision of the unit standards listed above.
Date new versions published October 2024
Planned review date December 2024
Summary
The review of temporary traffic management unit standards was initiated by Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency who will be turning off the warrant system and retiring the Code of Practice for Temporary Traffic Management (CoPTTM). The Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) Industry Steering Group and providers with consent to assess support this change as the industry moves toward a risk-based approach to TTM.
References to Waka Kotahi, Connexis, and CoPTTM will be removed from the revised unit standards listed above, however, they are still fit for purpose as they meet the outcome requirements. The last date for assessment for the superseded versions is set to December 2026 to allow current learners to complete their assessments and in preparation for the expiry of these unit standards.
New skill standards for the TTM industry are being developed to align to the new risk-based approach, and the TTM credentials framework.
