Toitū te Waiora Community, Health, Education and Social Services Workforce Development Council has completed the review of twelve unit standards, listed below.

Summary

 

Following review of the New Zealand Diploma in Hearing Therapy (Level 6) [Ref: 2859] in 2023, Toitū te Waiora subsequently reviewed 12 Hearing Therapy unit standards used to assess in programmes leading to the qualification.  This was to ensure they remain fit-for-purpose and continue to meet the needs of the hearing therapy sector.

Main changes

 

-        The standards have been updated to reflect NZQA’s latest template.

-        Standard titles have been changed where necessary.

-        References have been updated where necessary.

-        ‘Deficit’ language has been removed.

-        References to Hearing Therapy technologies have been updated.

-        Various iterative changes have been made to performance criteria wording.

The last date of assessment for superseded versions of category B unit standards is 31 December 2025.
