Summary of development/review and consultation process |
The review was carried out in January 2025 to assess whether the qualification continued to meet the needs of the Forestry workforce and to ensure alignment with current industry standards. This review was essential for confirming the qualification’s ongoing relevance and effectiveness in preparing students for employment and progression within the Forestry sector. Consultation commenced in August 2024 following an initial wānanga. A series of meetings were held with industry experts to review the existing qualifications. Subsequently, the revised qualifications were circulated for further industry consultation. The project was then paused to allow time for further sector input and review. Following this, feedback confirmed that no additional changes were required for the remaining forestry qualifications, ensuring the suite remained consistent and aligned with current industry expectations. |
Main changes resulting from the development/review process |
· Scheduled review of all qualifications. · Review date set at 31 December 2028 to align with Forestry unit standards. · Minor updates to include on current qualification template and ensure currency. · Version change to reflect the review, however, because no significant changes were made to the qualifications, no Last Date for Assessment has been set to the superseded versions. |
