Summary of review and consultation process |
|
Waihanga Ara Rau, with a group of provider and industry representatives, reviewed the Industrial Measurement and Control qualifications above, to ensure they remained fit for industry purpose. Stakeholders were informed of the review by email and the Waihanga Ara Rau website and minor changes to the qualification were endorsed by the group in October 2025. |

Main changes resulting from the review process |
|
Minor changes were made to the Strategic Purpose Statements of both qualifications to align with new wording in the Context Domain of the updated NZQCF level descriptors, and the list of industry contexts in the Employment, Cultural, Community Pathways was changed to overarching industry categories. New Zealand Certificate in Industrial Measurement and Control (Theory) (Level 4) [Ref: 2252] · Education Pathway - wording was amended to encompass the full range of potential training programmes. · Employment, Cultural, Community Pathway - wording was amended to remove a contradiction. New Zealand Certificate in Industrial Measurement and Control (Level 5) [Ref: 2253] · Education Pathway - Level 6 qualification was added. |
