Registration of Allied Health Assistance skill standards
Toitū te Waiora Community, Health, Education, and Social Services Workforce Development Council has developed three skill standards listed below.

Summary
The skill standards were developed following ophthalmic sector feedback during the review of Health and Wellbeing qualifications in 2024. Development took place in the second quarter of 2025. These skill standards were developed to align with the Ophthalmic Technician Practice (Micro-credential) (ID:129568).
