Summary of review and consultation process |
|
The review of the New Zealand Certificate in Painting and Decorating (Level 4) with strands in Spray Systems, Wallcoverings, and Specialised Coatings involved the alignment of the graduate profile outcomes of the qualification with the development of new painting and decorating skill standards. A technical advisory group was formed, including representatives from Master Painters (the industry association), industry stakeholders, and training providers. Online meetings were held with the technical advisory group between July 2024 to October 2024. Consultation concluded that minor changes were needed to the qualification and confirmed the alignment of the qualification outcomes with the mandatory skill standards developed for painting and decorating. |
