Summary of development/review and consultation process |
|
The qualifications in Equine Coaching were reviewed by Toi Mai Workforce Development Council as part of the regular five-year review cycle. The review was conducted in consultation with representatives from the sector and providers currently offering programmes leading to the qualifications. Consultation started in June 2024 with a public announcement on the Toi Mai website and direct email contact to providers and industry, followed up with online one-on-one sessions. Consultation was completed by mid-October 2024. As a result of the review, Toi Mai confirmed that the sector and providers intend to continue using the qualifications, as they are still deemed to be fit for purpose, with minor changes required. However, the sector and providers indicated that the New Zealand Certificate in Equine Coaching (Level 4) is not used, as learners do not deem it necessary to achieve their career goals. This qualification will be discontinued. |
