Summary
Hanga-Aro-Rau Manufacturing, Engineering, and Logistics Workforce Development Council met with stakeholders from the Irrigation industry in the second half of 2024 to discuss the training and workforce needs of the industry. At the time, training was provided by an Australian provider, and learners were awarded Australian qualifications. The industry wants to offer New Zealand qualifications and the Australian Units of Competency listed here provide the building blocks for these.

· Australian Units of Competency will be listed on the New Zealand Qualifications Framework and provided with unit standard numbers.
