Summary
Waihanga Ara Rau has developed three new skill standards for advanced glazing skills for glaziers who are responsible for leading the installation of complex glazing systems. These standards were developed to contribute to New Zealand glazing qualifications at level 5 or above.
The skill standards were developed with a technical advisory group that included industry, association representatives, and providers. Development started in November 2025, with consultation with wider industry was consulted in February 2025, and feedback was incorporated where appropriate.
