Waihanga Ara Rau Construction and Infrastructure Workforce Development Council has completed the rollover and revision of 12 unit standards listed above.

Summary

 

Waihanga Ara Rau Construction and Infrastructure Workforce Development Council has extended the review date to 31 December 2026 to align with the review of the New Zealand Certificate in Infrastructure Works (Pipeline Construction and Maintenance) (Level 4) [Ref: 3858] with strands in Drinking-Water, Stormwater and Wastewater, and Trenchless Technologies, and the New Zealand Certificate in Infrastructure Works Pipe Installation (Level 4) [Ref: 4441].  Industry has confirmed that the unit standards are in line with current industry practice and are fit for purpose.  There were no changes to classification, outcomes, performance criteria, level or credits.  The rollover was circulated to key stakeholders in March 2025 who have confirmed their support for the proposed rollover.

 

Main changes

 

·                The planned review date was extended from 31 December 2023 to 31 December 2026.

·                Guidance information was updated to reflect current legislation.

·                The titles of unit standards 31524 and 31524 were updated for consistency with the outcomes.

·                The purpose statement of unit standard 31521 was updated for consistency with the outcomes.

·                SSB details were updated from Infrastructure ITO to Waihanga Ara Rau Construction and Infrastructure Workforce Development Council.
