Toi Mai Workforce Development Council has completed the review of the unit standards listed above.
Date new versions published August 2025
Planned review date December 2030
Summary
Toi Mai Workforce Development Council carried out the scheduled review of these standards in collaboration with industry and providers. An industry and provider wānanga was held in Wellington in August 2024. This was followed by smaller review meetings and online meetings in October and November 2024. Industry and providers agreed that some content of the unit standards was above level 4, particularly for technical skills. This resulted in some outcomes and performance criteria being removed or reworded.
Consultation on the draft changes was gathered through targeted email consultation and via open consultation on the Toi Mai website in March and April 2025. Feedback received was discussed with the advisory group and small changes and clarifications made.
Main changes
· All standards that were in the Entertainment and Event Technology domain have been moved to Entertainment and Event Technology and Operations domain due to the Entertainment and Event Technology domain expiring.
· Updated guidance information for all standards including links to legislation and guidelines, and removal of the requirement for complex events.
· The Standard Setting Body was changed from Skills Active to Toi Mai Workforce Development Council.
· Outcomes and performance criteria updated to ensure correct alignment to Level 4.
· Titles were updated for unit standards 30458, 30460, 30465 and 30466.
