Waihanga Ara Rau Construction and Infrastructure Workforce Development Council has completed the rollover and revision of the unit standards listed above.

Summary

Waihanga Ara Rau Construction and Infrastructure Workforce Development Council in partnership with representatives from the gas infrastructure industry has extended the next planned review date of the above unit standards to December 2026 to align with the review of the gas qualification suite in 2026.  There were no changes to classification, title, level or credits.  The gas sector has confirmed these unit standards remain fit for purpose.

Main changes

· Guidance information was updated for industry standards AS/NZS 2885.2-2020 Pipelines – Gas and liquid petroleum Part 2: Welding, AS 2885.3-2022 Pipelines – Gas and liquid petroleum Operation and maintenance, AS/NZS 5601.1:2022 Gas installations – Part 1: General installations, and NZS 5266:2014 Safety of gas appliances.

· The planned review date was extended from 31 December 2025 to 31 December 2026.

· Standard Setting Body was changed from MITO New Zealand Incorporated to Waihanga Ara Rau Construction and Infrastructure Workforce Development Council.

Impact on Consent and Moderation Requirements (CMR)

CMR was updated from CMR 0014 to CMR 0120.
