Summary of review and consultation process |
|
Waihanga Ara Rau, with a group of provider and industry representatives, reviewed the New Zealand Certificate in Industrial Measurement and Control (Practice) [Ref: 2251] to ensure the newly developed skill standards would align with the qualification. Stakeholders were informed of the review by email and the Waihanga Ara Rau website and minor changes to the qualification were endorsed by the group in July 2024. |

Main changes resulting from the review process |
|
The overall credit value of the qualification was increased from 80 to 88 credits, to reflect the credits required to achieve the graduate profile, and mandatory skill standards. The additional credits were allocated to GPOs 1 and 3. GPO 4 was expanded to include risks other than worker safety. The NZSCED classification was updated from 030703 to 031399. The Strategic Purpose Statement – a minor change was made to clarify. Mandatory skill standards were added to the Conditions Relating to the Graduate Profile. The last date of assessment for version 1 of the qualification was extended from 31 December 2025 to 31 December 2027. The qualification developer was changed from The Skills Organisation to Waihanga Ara Rau. |
