Summary of development/review and consultation process |
The qualification review was the scheduled five-yearly review. Employers and industry representatives gave feedback on the critical skills required for infrastructure site supervision completing an online questionnaire in February and attending nationwide roadshows from March to May 2024. To communicate the key themes and recommendations from this feedback, an infrastructure site supervision skills consultation report was published in July 2024 and emailed to participants. A technical advisory group with representatives from the infrastructure industry considered the recommendations of the report. Consultation documents with the main changes to the qualification based on the recommendations were published on the Waihanga Ara Rau Workforce Development Council website during October 2024. Feedback from this consultation was considered by the technical advisory group during online meetings and amendments were made where appropriate. To ensure the new version was fit for purpose, attestations were provided by the main industry membership organisation, the main provider of the qualification, and industry stakeholders during November 2024. |
