Summary

A provider drew Muka Tangata’s attention to inconsistencies in unit standard 26161 Outcome 3 performance criteria (PC).  A revision is needed to conflate PC 3.2 and 3.3 so that the requirement is clearly ‘either/or’ and not both.

Main changes

· Outcome 3 was changed to refer to mating only which is defined in Guidance Information as referring to both natural and artificial insemination.

· The purpose statement was changed to also reflect that definition.

· PC 3.2 and 3.3 were conflated so that either artificial insemination or natural mating can be assessed.

· PC 3.4 was altered to refer to keeping records of either natural mating or artificial insemination.

· Planned review date has been extended from 31 December 2023 to 31 December 2026.

· Standard setting body changed from Primary ITO to Muka Tangata - People, Food and Fibre Workforce Development Council.
