Summary of development/review and consultation process

Hanga-Aro-Rau Workforce Development Council met with employers and Te Pūkenga subsidiaries between November 2024 and April 2025 to review the qualifications listed above, and associated unit standards.

A Qualifications Advisory Group (QAG) of industry representatives was established to inform the

review. Online meetings for the QAG were held to discuss industry training needs. The QAG confirmed

that both the qualifications were generally working as intended and remain fit for purpose with some minor changes required.

Main changes resulting from the development/review process

Both qualifications, General conditions:

· A sustainability clause and cultural capability clause have been added, reflecting areas of focus and importance for the supply chain management industry.

· A programme condition has been added requiring programmes to align with Hanga-Aro-Rau’s programme endorsement considerations and to obtain endorsement prior to seeking programme approval.

· New Zealand Diploma in Supply Chain Management (Level 6)

· The term ‘supplier’ has been replaced with the term ‘stakeholder’ in GPO 2, for consistency and to align with current industry terminology.
