Summary

Muka Tangata – People, Food and Fibre Workforce Development Council has changed the scheduled review date of the unit standards in the Vegetable Production domain to maintain their currency and allow time for a review to take place before December 2027.

Muka Tangata had approached industry representatives with a proposal to expire the standards due to low use.  However, industry representatives indicated their intention to include the standards in proposed programmes and requested they not be designated expiring.  Muka Tangata proposes to review the standards in conjunction with the planned review of the Horticulture qualifications.  In the meantime, the standards have been revised for currency and rolled over until 2027.

Main changes

· Unit standards were updated from old templates.

· The SSB contact and coverage information was updated for standards in superseded templates.

· The planned review dates were changed to December 2027.

· References were updated where required.

· All unit standards were moved from CMR 0037 to CMR 0052.

· Last date of assessment of 31 December 2027 added for superseded versions of unit standards 1781 and 1793.
