Rollover and revision of Renewable Energy Systems unit standards

Waihanga Ara Rau Construction and Infrastructure Workforce Development Council has completed a rollover and revision of unit standards listed above.

Summary

Waihanga Ara Rau in consultation with the tactical reference group of industry representatives, and providers, support the rollover and revision of the renewable energy systems unit standards.  

Industry has confirmed the unit standards are fit for purpose and in line with current industry practice. There were no changes to classification, title, level or credits. Small changes were made to the outcomes and performance criteria for unit standard 27442.

Main changes

· Guidance information was amended in the standards to reference up to date Australian/New Zealand Standards (AS/NZS).

· The purpose statement and guidance information in unit standard 27438 was changed to remove the reference to AS/NZS 4536:1999, that is now withdrawn.

· The purpose statement for 27442 was revised to clarify AS/NZ standards as they apply to specific outcomes.

· The planned review date was extended from 31 December 2024 to 31^st December 2026.
