Summary of development/review and consultation process |
|
The Whānau Ora qualifications were reviewed in October 2024. The Whakaruruhau Working Group (WWRG) members that participated in the review represented Whānau Ora practitioners, industry, and tertiary providers who deliver programmes leading to the Whānau Ora qualifications. The mandatory review ensures the qualifications are relevant, fit for purpose, and meet the aspirations and needs of whānau, hapū, iwi and hapori. Wider consultation for feedback and comments was conducted via the NZQA website following the review. |

Main changes resulting from the development/review process |
|
Minor edits of the qualifications with a focus on grammar and language. Minor changes applied to show learning progressions, uniqueness, relevancy and purpose. Ngā mātāpono were updated to give expression and relevancy to Whānau Ora. Kīwaha were added to each mātāpono. Qualifications outcomes were updated to reflect the Graduate Profile Outcomes (GPOs), and credits were weighted against the GPOs. |
