Date new versions published May 2025
Planned review date December 2030
Summary
Ringa Hora Services Workforce Development Council has reviewed twenty existing unit standards and created new skill standards to align with the graduate profile outcomes of the New Zealand Certificate in Intelligence (Introduction) (Level 3) [Ref: 2392-3], the New Zealand Certificate in Intelligence (Information Management) (Level 5) [Ref: 5079-1], and the New Zealand Diploma in Intelligence Analysis (Level 6) [Ref: 2396-3].
Development and consultation were carried out from August 2024 to February 2025 with subject matter experts from New Zealand’s intelligence sector, and training provider, Skills Consulting Group, by one face to face meeting, email and through online meetings, to co-create new Intelligence Analysis skill standards and consider feedback to ensure the new skill standards would be fit for purpose. Changes were made to the skill standards from feedback and confirmed by the subject matter experts.
Main changes
· Fifteen skill standards were developed to replace unit standards and to meet the graduate profile outcomes of the reviewed Intelligence qualifications:
- Seven new skill standards were developed;
- Eight skill standards will replace 11 unit standards (Category C).
· Nine unit standards have been set to expire without replacement (Category D).
Category C and D unit standards will expire at the end of December 2027
