Summary
Muka Tangata has developed a new suite of skill standards in machine-assisted felling in response to identified industry needs. This development was initiated following a Court Ordered Enforceable Understanding (COEU) prompted by a fatality during the performance of this task. Over the past seven months, the project has been undertaken in close consultation with Technical Advisory Group (TAG) members and with input and support from key stakeholders across the forestry and arboriculture sectors.
