Summary of republication and consultation process

Representatives from the scaffolding industry and providers requested the New Zealand Certificate in Scaffolding (Proprietary Suspended) (Level 3) [Ref: 3709] be removed as a prerequisite to this qualification. This was to meet regulatory body or legislative requirements due to an update in the Health and Safety in Employment (Scaffolding) Amendment Regulations 2025 coming into effect on the 20 October 2025.

Main changes resulting from the republication process

The Other requirements for the qualification have been updated to remove the New Zealand Certificate in Scaffolding (Proprietary Suspended) (Level 3) [Ref: 3709] as a pre-requisite requirement.
