Summary of review and consultation process

The eleven qualifications are being transferred from Ako Aotearoa to Toitū te Waiora, Community, Health, Education and Social Services Workforce Development Council.

The transition of these qualifications was agreed following kōrero between Ako Aotearoa, NZQA, TEC, and Toitū te Waiora.

 

Main changes resulting from the review

Qualification Developer status and responsibility for the Adult Tertiary Teaching qualifications above has been transferred from Ako Aotearoa to Toitū te Waiora Community, Health, Education and Social Services Workforce Development Council.

The qualifications have been republished to show the new Qualification Developer, 31 May 2027 review date, and includes the removal of the reference to the guidance documents. These guidance documents are now held by Toitū te Waiora and will be transferred to the Health and Community Industry Skills Board once it is established.

No changes have been made to the content, outcomes, credits, Level, or structure of the qualifications.

The qualifications have been re-published without version change.

It is anticipated that no existing candidates will be disadvantaged by these transition arrangements. However, anyone who feels that they have been disadvantaged may appeal to Toitū te Waiora Workforce Development Council at the address below. Appeals will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
