Feedback confirmed that:

· The qualification remains relevant and fit for purpose.

· Outcomes and graduate profile continue to meet current industry needs.

· Stakeholders value the qualification as part of a coherent pathway within the heavy automotive sector.

A shorter review period is required to align with the suite of associated qualifications, including the New Zealand Certificate in Heavy Automotive Engineering (Level 4), in October 2027. This will ensure consistency across shared unit standards, reduce duplication of consultation, and maintain coherence of pathways within the heavy automotive sector and allow for any updates that may be required to reflect new technology and resulting practices in this sector.
