Ringa Hora Services Workforce Development Council has completed the revision of the skills standards listed above.

Summary

These standards were published in May 2025 as part of the Intelligence Analysis review.  A revision was required to these standards when it was identified through programme development to the New Zealand Diploma in Intelligence Analysis (Level 6) [Ref: 2396] that 10 credits were missing from this level to make up the 120 required to meet the qualification.  Intelligence ethics and values had not been incorporated into all the Level 6 standards as had been predetermined in the development phase.  Ringa Hora met with the Working Group on 12 August 2025 to discuss how to best to include the missing content and how the credits would best reflect the inclusion of revised content.

Main changes

· Skill standard 40675 was revised from 15 credits to 20 credits.  Learning outcome 1 was amended, and assessment criteria 1d and 3c and indicative content were added to align to the 5 extra credits.  Resources were also added to the standard for further support.

· Skill standard 40676 was revised from 5 credits to 10 credits. Learning outcome 1 was split into learning outcomes 1 and 2.  Assessment criterion 1a was edited to clarify the preparation of the information and intelligence is for dissemination of an intelligence output.  Assessment criteria 1b and 1c were moved to learning outcome 2.  Assessment criterion 2a was edited to include ethical standards and values, and indicative content was added to align to the 5 extra credits.

The last date for assessment of superseded versions of these standards is 31 October 2025.
