Summary

Waihanga Ara Rau Construction and Infrastructure Workforce Development Council in partnership with representatives from the asphalt and bituminous product manufacturing industries confirmed these unit standards remain fit for purpose.  There has been no industry feedback to suggest there are any issues with these unit standards and this was confirmed by the Civil Contractors New Zealand (CCNZ) Surfacing Technical Committee who have signed an Attestation.  Therefore, there was not a full consultation undertaken.  There were no changes to classification, title, level or credits.

Main changes

· Guidance information was updated for Managing Worksite Traffic 2021 (Worksafe).

· The review date was rolled over to 31 December 2027.

· Standard Setting Body details were changed from Connexis Infrastructure Industry Training Organisation to Waihanga Ara Rau Construction and Infrastructure Workforce Development Council.

· Outcome 1 of unit standard 32249 was updated to align with the title.

Impact on Consent and Moderation Requirements (CMR)

· CMR was updated from CMR 0101 to CMR 0120.
