Summary
This standard has been reviewed in line with current industry practice, and to ensure it is fit for purpose.
A series of technical advisory groups, consisting of industry and provider representatives with consent to assess, and representatives from industry stakeholder organisations, including the Plumbing Gasfitting and Drainlaying Board, were held to complete the original review in April 2024 – August 2024.
This recent review has been carried out to ensure that the unit standard, in particular the credit count, was corrected to meet industry practice for time required for training and assessment resulting in the changes below.
Main changes
· Unit standard 33431 had credits increased from 3 to 4 credits.
· CMR was changed from 0003 to 0120.
The last date for assessment of superseded versions of Category B unit standard is December 2026.
