Summary of republication consultation process

NZQA National Qualifications Services (NQS) republished this qualification to address stakeholder requests to amend the general conditions for programme to allow adequate time to deliver programmes to the target learners.

Main changes resulting from the development/review process

The General conditions for programme were amended to include a statement to allow the notional delivery of 20 hours teaching and learning for each qualification credit. This recognises that the target learner will require a longer period of time to acquire and consolidate the skills and knowledge required. This programme condition will align the notional delivery of programmes leading to this qualification with the New Zealand Certificate in Skills for Living for Supported Learners (Level 1) [Ref: 2853].

The General conditions for programme were amended to require programme delivery to honour te Tiriti o Waitangi.

The qualification review date was changed from 30 March 2026 to 31 December 2026.
