Date new versions published September 2025
Planned review date (no change) December 2026
Summary
Representatives from the scaffolding industry and providers requested an extension to the Last Date of Assessment for all unit standards listed above. This includes the approval of last date of assessment for previous versions which have an expiry date of 31 December 2025. These unit standard versions are still current and fit for purpose.
The request was based on allowing sufficient time for current learners to complete learning and assessment as well as giving providers a reasonable amount of time for the redevelopment of programmes, teaching, and assessment resources. This is not expected to be completed before the current last date of assessment of 31 December 2025. This date has now been extended to 31 December 2027.
The extension aligns with the extended last date of assessment for the Scaffolding qualifications where these unit standards are used. This extension is supported by the Scaffolding, Access and Rigging New Zealand (SARNZ).
