Summary of development/review and consultation process |
|
Toi Mai Workforce Development Council worked with providers and industry to review this qualification. The introduction of strands was in response to requests for industry for training in Indigenous Conservation, and was also an action arising from “Torona Pakiakatia” Toi Mai Workforce Development Plan for Conservators and Curators. Key qualification review, development and consultation phases: · In person meetings with industry and providers to draft revised qualifications and standards held in February 2025 and September 2025. · Online meetings with advisory group in April, July and August. · Online meetings with industry to gain input and feedback held in October and December 2025. · Open public consultation November and December 2025 via the Toi Mai website and through advisory group networks. Feedback received resulted in changes to Indigenous Conservation strand title, and the strategic purpose, employment and education pathways. Responsibility for the qualification was transferred from Toi Mai Workforce Development Council to the Services Industry Skills Board to reflect the VET reforms. |
