Summary

 

As a result of the planned standards review cycle, Māori Qualifications Services in conjunction with the Whakaruruhau reviewed Te Pā Harakeke unit standards and developed ten new skill standards. The purpose of the review is to ensure the standards are relevant, purposeful and meet the aspirations and needs of ākonga, whānau, hapū, and iwi.

 

Main changes

·       12 unit standards (30339-30350) are set to expire by December 2027 due to no usage since registration in 2017.

·       10 new Te Pā Harakeke skill standards developed (four of which have replaced existing unit standards).

 

Category C and D unit standards will expire at the end of December 2027.
