The Construction and Specialist Trades Industry Skills Board has completed the rollover of the superseded versions of eight expiring unit standards listed above. These versions currently have a last date for assessment of 31 December 2027.

Summary
The rollover of superseded versions of these unit standards was undertaken because they are still being used in programmes that lead to the award of the New Zealand Certificate in Concrete (Specialist) (Level 4) [Ref: 4186] and the New Zealand Certificate in Foundation Construction (Level 3) [Ref: 1814]. These qualifications are not scheduled for review until late 2028 and early 2029.
The extension of the last date of assessment (LDA) to 31 December 2029 aligns with the scheduled review of these qualifications and allows sufficient time for a managed transition to the replacement skill standards. Work on the review of these qualifications is planned to begin before the scheduled review dates.
Extending the LDA of superseded versions to 31 December 2029 ensures learners currently enrolled in these programmes can complete their training and assessment, while allowing providers time to transition to the replacement skill standards and update their programmes.
