The Services Industry Skills Board (Services ISB) has completed the rollover of the unit standards listed above to extend the expiry date.

Summary

The last date of assessment of the version 4 of unit standard 27646 and version 5 of unit standard 27647 is currently set as 31 December 2026.

Two providers have these standards in NZQA-approved programmes. While there is a replacement skill standard, the Services ISB will commence a review of Beauty Therapy qualifications in 2027 that will include the development of full suites of skill standards. The rollover of these two unit standards allows providers to keep delivering their current offerings until the full suites of skill standards are developed.

· The last date for assessment of superseded versions of unit standards listed above was extended from 31 December 2026 to 31 December 2028.

· The standard setting body details were updated to Services Industry Skills Board.
