Registration of Agribusiness Management skill standard 41169

The Food and Fibre Industry Skills Board has registered the Agribusiness Management skill standard listed below.

Summary

The review of the New Zealand Diploma in Primary Industry Business Management [Ref: 2221] revealed a gap in the education pathway for learners looking to progress into management roles in primary industry organisations without a background in production management.  Development meetings took place July to November 2025 and Muka Tangata People Food and Fibre Workforce Development Council (as the standard setting body until 31 December 2025) consulted with representatives from across the food and fibre sectors and with providers to develop a skill standard and micro-credential in production management.  

Main changes

· Skill standard 41169 was developed to meet an identified gap in learning and assessment.
