Summary of republication process

An extension of the Last Date of Assessment (LDA) for superseded version 3 of the New Zealand Certificate in Meat Processing and Meat Product Manufacturing (Level 4) was requested. This is required to support the completion of workplace-based apprenticeships of up to 23 months. There are currently 52 active learners enrolled in version 3 of the qualification.

The Industry Skills Body (ISB) confirms that version 3 remains fit for purpose and will continue to meet industry requirements for learners currently enrolled until they complete the qualification.

The qualification has been republished.

Main changes resulting from the republication process

· Extend the last date of assessment of version 3 from 31 December 2027 to 31 December 2028

· Evidence requirements for assuring consistency removed as no longer applicable.

· Standard Setting Body (SSB) details were updated from Hanga-Aro-Rau Manufacturing, Engineering and Logistics Workforce Development Council to Manufacturing and Engineering Industry Skills Board.
