Summary of development/review and consultation process |
|
In June 2025, Toi Mai initiated the review of sport and recreation qualifications due to low or no usage. Feedback on proposed review or expiry of qualifications was sought from stakeholder organisations and through open public consultation via the Toi Mai website. Feedback received supported the expiry of New Zealand Certificate in Sport Officiating (Level 3) and New Zealand Certificate in Sport Coaching (Level 3), to be replaced by three Level 3 skill standards and potential micro-credential development. Responsibility for these qualifications was transferred from Toi Mai to the Services Industry Skills Board to reflect VET reforms. |
