Māori Qualifications Services (MQS) has completed the review of the unit standards listed above.

Summary
This review was undertaken as part of the planned cycle of review of MQS unit standards. MQS along with Whakaruruhau, reviewed the Manaaki Marae unit standards to ensure that they remain fit for purpose, are relevant and meet the aspirations and needs of ākonga, whānau, hapū and iwi.
Main changes
The main changes that were made to the standards include the following:
· Minor wording changes have been made to titles, purpose, guidance information, outcomes and performance criteria for relevancy, consistency and to provide clarity for users, assessors and learners.
· Glossaries, references and definitions have been updated.
· Grammatical errors have been corrected.
· US 31162 credits and level decreased as this standard is aimed at learners who demonstrate leadership skills with limited supervision.
· US 21248 & US 30540 credit increased to reflect the work that is required to gain the credits.
The last date for assessment of superseded versions of Category B unit standards is December 2028.
