Summary of development/review and consultation process |
|
The tāngata Whaikaha qualification was scheduled for review in 2025. Members of the Whakaruruhau Working Group (WWRG) who participated in the review represented a broad section of the sector, including kaupapa Māori public health and tāngata Whaikaha practitioners, hauora and community organisations, and tertiary education providers delivering programmes leading to the tāngata Whaikaha qualification. The mandatory review ensures the qualification is relevant, fit for purpose and meets the aspirations and needs of whānau, hapū, iwi and hapori. Wider consultation for feedback and comments was conducted via the NZQA website for a duration of four weeks. |

§ Minor amendments made to the strategic purpose statements to align with the updated (2025) qualification types and level descriptors. § Minor amendments applied to the GPOs to ensure they accurately reflect the programme. § Minor amendments made to the employment, cultural, community pathway for relevance and currency. § Programme conditions updated for relevance and currency such as updating relevant legislative links. § Conditions relating to the Graduate Profile updated for relevance. |
