Summary of republication process |
|
An extension to the Last Date for Assessment (LDA) of superseded version 1 of the New Zealand Certificate in Locksmithing (Trade) is required to support the provision and completion of workplace-based New Zealand Apprenticeships. The Manufacturing and Engineering Industry Skills Board (ISB) confirms that superseded version 1 remains fit for purpose and continues to meet current industry requirements for existing learners until they complete the apprenticeships. The LDA extension supports an orderly transition to later versions of the qualification and will provide sufficient time for programme development and implementation. The review of the qualification and associated standards included national consultation with industry and both the qualification and standards are currently in evaluation with NZQA. Education providers intending to deliver the qualification have confirmed their intention to transition to version 3 once the current qualification review is finalised, and version 3 is listed. No further extensions will be considered. |
