Strategic Purpose Statement |
Graduates will be able to apply skills and knowledge to: effectively apply the principles of effective management in conjunction with an in-depth understanding of the music industry, establish an effective management relationships with a performing artist over an extended period to enable the artist to achieve key artistic and business goals, effectively manage musical events, from initial conception to closure, to ensure successful achievement of event goals and outcomes, communicate effectively with music industry professionals, use standard administrative practices and appropriate information and communication technologies to support their roles as managers within the music industry, market performing artists and musical events effectively and appropriately. In addition, graduates will be able to respond to the Music Event Management market through combining generic management skills with specialist music industry skills and understand the development of the music ind ustry globally and within New Zealand.

Entry Requirements |
Applicants must have successfully completed a national certificate or an equivalent recognised qualification at Level 3 or above, or be a minimum of twenty-five years of age and have at least one years practical industry experience.
