Governance Māori Qualifications

Currently there are only a few qualifications in Maori Governance. The mandatory review is to reduce the duplication and proliferation of qualifications on a national scale, and to ensure that qualifications are useful, relevant and valuable to current and future learners, employers and other stakeholders. Establishing a Governance Group The initial stages of the review of qualifications in Governance Māori are being co-ordinated by NZQA Māori Qualifications Services and Te Wananga o Aotearoa, who are the current owners of Maori Governance qualifications. A Governance Group has been established to: Provide strategic advice and guidance to ensure Matauranga Maori and Sector needs are met and enduring qualifications developed Critically analyse developments and endorse workgroup submissions Provide final endorsement of the qualifications Members of the Governance Group are: Naomi Aporo Neville King Linda Te Aho Victor Main Murray McGregor Keri-Anne Stephens
