English Language (formerly ESOL) Assessment Resources
Show: Assessment Support Material Homepage
Assessment resources for 28 (see matrix (DOCX, 13KB)) of the 2018 approved English Language unit standards at Foundation to Level 4 are available. These resources will provide a model to assist assessors to develop further tasks that promote quality assessment of English Language unit standards
They are intended to:
- align with the New Zealand Certificates in English Language (version 2) graduate profile outcomes
- be relevant to both the secondary and tertiary setting
- make it easier for assessors to assess effectively, efficiently, and consistently.
These resources are intended as a guide only and it is expected that assessors will adapt these and develop assessments that are relevant to the context their assessment occurs in.
COVID-19 update: Online assessment Guidance for online assessment for NZ Certificates in English Language, English for Academic Purposes and English Language unit standards (PDF, 149KB) is available. It addresses conducting assessments under test conditions and ensuring authenticity of learner performance. |
