Review panel

The review panel will have up to six members.  Individually each panellist will:

  • have wide expertise, and credibility, prestige, and mana within the sector
  • have direct experience with Communication Skills unit standards
  • understand and be committed to best practice in standards-based assessment
  • be able to work collaboratively for the common good

Collectively, the panel will as far as possible be representative of all stakeholder groups.  Panellists will also be part of the email network.

We propose to convene the panel for up to three two-day meetings between the end of June and mid-August to:

  • examine the current standards and decide whether/how they need to be amended so that they continue to meet identified needs;
  • where relevant, decide whether other new standards are also needed.

We will also convene the panel by telephone and/or online where relevant, and/or for a one-day meeting in late September if required.

We pay a fee for service to panellists, including for conference calls and online meetings, and we meet all travel and accommodation expenses.
