This unit standard is intended for people whose role is the inspection of trains, and the certification of those trains as complying with the law and the requirements of the Rail Licence.
People credited with this unit standard are able to ensure: the integrity of train loads; operation of the air brake system; rail vehicles are in a serviceable condition; the train is segregated; and train inspection documentation is complete; and advise train driver of consist changes.
