| This unit standard is intended for people involved with the management of people and vehicular movement, at a planned or unplanned emergency event. People credited with this unit standard are able to: explain the legal authority for establishing a cordon; cordon an area to restrict public and vehicle access; establish a checkpoint to manage the flow of people and vehicles into and out of a cordoned area; direct and monitor the movement of people and vehicles through a checkpoint; and remove a cordon to allow resumption of normal public access. | |||||||||
